BIOGRAPHY:

V-DASH (Quincy Walker Jr.)

Was born in North Carolina.  He then moved at the age of 4 to South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He started stage performance at 5 years old dancing to MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This” in his school talent show.

V-DASH has always been musically inclined as well as diverse. In the midst of writing lyrics, playing musical instruments, and….of course…beatboxing, he developed his style around being able to do anything.  Not being put in one genre was something introduced to him at age 11 when he would be the drummer for the Rock band “Social Combustion” in Escondido, CA.  “This is the first time I every saw myself on a news channel, or in a newspaper. From there I learned how to fuse music. Hip-Hop with Alternative rock, House music with Television Theme songs….the possibilities were endless!!!”

By age 12, V-DASH drifted toward the battle rap scene.  “I had aggression built up about my life situation.  A battle was THE BEST WAY for me to express myself and understand that there were others in the world like me that felt the same.”  From age 12-20,  V-DASH became infamous for destroying rappers…..OFF THE TOP OF THE HEAD.  “I could write songs, but I honor my craft.  I would freestyle about everything around me and in front of me, while my opponent prepared verses.  My motivation was be the most ferocious, innovative, smooth, gritty, battle rapper ever.  This turned me to a beast!....and kept me out of trouble at the same time.”

At age 16 V-DASH had his first underground smash “Never Gonna Make It”.  This was his first official song.  “V…..versatile….remember that.  I wanted to conquer battle raps, any concept of song, real life, wordplay…..any aspect of hip hop I felt I had to master to even consider myself an EMCEE.”  This would be followed by V-DASH Classic “Under Da Hood Vol.1” and open doors for more opportunities.

Now V-DASH continues to blaze trails all around the world. Here is a list of some of his work:
